As a canal lot owner, I find your recent article and pictures about tree dumping most interesting.
If I remember correctly, the State claimed ownership of the canals as navigable water.
If these yahoos
make it so that you can't navigate in the canals, do they revert back to the HOA?
Years ago, residents traveled in two boats with a chain sunk between them.
I think this help move
silt and loosen vegetation. Maybe the members of the Water Amenities Committee
would do this for trees.
I don't know who was called, but I think that impeding navigation channels may be DHEC.
