MEMBER ON OVER 10 1/2 MONTH JOURNEY TO GET AN ANSWER IN WRITING FROM ARC AND BOARD WRITES ONE MORE LETTER TO THE BOARD SIGNED BY 10 MORE RESIDENT LOT OWNERS. IS IT WORTH HIS EFFORT? YOU, AND HE SHOULD BE DISGUSTED BY OUR BOARD'S TREATMENT OF HIM, AS HE QUESTIONS THE BOARD DURING RESIDENT COMMENTS DURING THE SEPTEMBER WPA BOARD MEETING!

I am so disgusted that I have difficulty writing the article.  I'm not going to spend a lot of time bringing you up to date.  If you are a regular reader, you'll know where we are in this ridiculous saga with your WPA board, and this member who has done everything right.  He has written the board for the 3rd time in 10 months (most recent letter provided below).   He has researched the governing documents, and provided the references to the correct areas of our documents to the board, along with pictures of the stated problems, and attended at least 3 board meetings, and spoke out during resident comment sessions.  Last night, the board had received a letter from the resident who owns the shed stating that she has confirmed that the shed resides partially on the golf course, and she is in the process of selling the shed, and having it removed from her property.  The resident who had made the complaints reminded the board that he wanted a letter from the board explaining what actions the board had taken regarding each item listed on the complaint.  Your president, Jacky Walton said the board members were volunteers, and didn't have time.  Imagine that!  The resident stated that he is a volunteer also (has been for a long time).  The resident then told legal/compliance chair/vice president, Garrison that he had been waiting for months, and reminded Garrison that he had laughed at him from the board table, as the resident tried to get answers during a board meeting in March.  Garrison proudly answered back last night that "yes he did".  It looked like a "so what moment".

"So what"?  One of our major problems here, is that your board fails to adhere and govern by our covenants & restrictions, etc., and the whole place is beginning to suffer in appearance at the expense of our property values.  The problem is bigger than Garrison, it is your entire board, who sit by, don't defend our resident using the governing documents, and TOLERATE, and in the case of your president this time, allow a member trying to do the right thing, to be treated like a piece of crap!  Our other problem is you!  You keep letting them operate this way, and just sit back and let it happen!

PS:  I had to add this because I am so irritated!  Why should a resident go to the trouble of listing, and providing words from our governing documents, when they send their complaint in?  Why should the resident want a written response addressing each of their complaints?  Because this board is ignoring our governing documents almost all of the time.  They gleefully do it from the board table attempting to make fools of anyone who calls them on it.  It is about time that they put their foolishness in writing to us, noting their blatant disregard for our covenants, by-laws, and policies!

As for Garrison, Walton, and Johnson, who are too busy to do the right thing from their board seats - they are running for board again.  If you aren't willing to do the job, don't run, and then do a lousy job because you are too busy!  Vote NO, on them, even if it doesn't fill all the vacancies on the board.

Thanks to the 10 residents who signed the letter.

RE:                                              Board’s Failure To Respond To Conditions On Lot 225,
That Violate WPA Governing Documents In Over 10 Months,
While Members Of Adjacent, Properties’ Views Are Blocked,
And The Beauty Of The Surrounding Area Is
                                                      Diminished, Along With Property Values

Please place a copy of this letter in the Correspondence File.

Board, our neighborhood is concerned about the WPA’s failure to resolve all of the violations on lot 225, as required under WPA governing documents.  I’ve received nothing in writing, as the board said it would, regarding all violations in the original complaint. Some of the issues have been resolved.  The main issue continues to be the shed, that was initially unpermitted, is placed a great distance from the house, on the very back corner of the property to such an extreme, that it resides on golf course property.

Meanwhile, at least one property’s views are blocked; neighborhood beauty replaced with an eyesore, while nearby property has been for sale, with a distorted view of the positive qualities of ownership in Wedgefield.
The owner of lot 225 basically admitted during the August WPA Board Meeting, that the shed sits on golf course property.  Why hasn’t the board taken action, and upheld the restrictions available to them to resolve this blatant issue?  We’d like this situation remedied with the shed being removed, or placed as close to the house as possible, as stated in the Policy Manual.  Our preference is that it be placed on the east side of the brick house.
.  We want an answer from the Board as to the steps they have taken, in writing.

NOTE:  10 MEMBERS LIVING IN THE AREA NEAR THE SHED SIGNED THE LETTER.  THEIR NAMES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.  THE LETTER WAS DELIVERED TO THE BOARD WITH THE SIGNATURES
