RESIDENT OFFERS SUGGESTION ABOUT WHAT TO DO WHEN OUR BOARD KEEPS US IN THE DARK

HERE IS THE RESIDENT EMAIL:
Just a thought:  Let's withhold payment of our annual assessment 

until such time as the WPA website is activated and the meeting 

minutes and financial statements become visible.  For whatever 

reason, the WPA wants us in the dark.  Money talks. (END OF EMAIL)

COMMENTS:

The Wedgefield Examiner will provide an update regarding the WPA website - minutes, and financials. I reviewed the WPA website this morning.  The website is back up, and minutes have been restored under the board tab.  What was surprising was that the board had added "financials", as only this board operates.  Financials are not the monthly financial reports, but the 2017 budget alone.  Really?

Why these cat and mouse (there is always a trap waiting for residents -mouse) games with this board, instead of open, honest governance?  There are more than a few rats on this board.  First, they take the minutes off the site, and when pushed by a few questions from residents, they give those residents a secret access to get to the minutes.  I say secret, because they don't boldly and openly provide it to all.  When word gets out as to how to get to the minutes, the special avenue disappears.  There is no explanation ever, discussion at meetings, motions, and votes at the board table - nothing.  After some upset, it appears they put the minutes back up, and might as well soothe the residents, and add fake financials, as far as what we require.

We are talking about how this board does business on every issue.  Stay tuned for the article on the board's response about my question regarding tree cutting on private canal lots at our expense.

Note, the writer of the email did not seek my opinion.  My comments are mine alone.  I do thank the writer.  Another resident, it appears, is thinking about the regime we are governed by.
