Today, I went to vote in the presidential election, and I ran into a WPA board member. I was told that some people have called, or stopped into the office to ask about the meeting. Their questions about how to attend could not be answered, because the meeting is not a board sponsored event, even though it is held at the WPA office. So if you, or you hear of someone who would like to attend, please know that all Wedgefield residents are welcome. We asked for you to RSVP so that you would be comfortable, and have a seat. At this point, we don't want to miss anyone.
Additionally, we've had a few people contact us who are not available on the 10th, but would like to comment in writing, and have their comments read during the meeting. If that is the case with you, and you are unable to attend, you can email your statements to mclaveloux@sc.rr.com., and we will be happy to read your statement. We will read your name. Your comments must be made in the spirit of the event - positive, and your outlook for Wedgefield, and how you view we could accomplish your statements.
HERE IS THE INFORMATION ON THE MEETING:
YOU ARE INVITED TO:
"A WEDGEFIELD RESIDENT FORUM - DISCUSSIONS TO OUTLINE POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR WEDGEFIELD"
"A WEDGEFIELD RESIDENT FORUM - DISCUSSIONS TO OUTLINE POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR WEDGEFIELD"
HERE IS THE INFO ON THE MEETING:
DATE: November 10
TIME: 7:00 PM
PLACE: WPA Office - Meeting Room
Wedgefield residents, this event is not a project of The Wedgefield Examiner. It is being promoted on the blog, as a means of getting the word out. As a active member of the association, I have been asked to help facilitate setting it up, by a number of residents who want the opportunity to discuss how members can move forward in a positive, unified, group whether you live on the golf course, canals, or in the condo area to outline positive outcomes for Wedgefield.
In general, it is time that we speak openly to our neighbors, and hear each other. Anyone who wishes to speak, and we encourage it, will be provided a "timed" opportunity, so that there is time for everyone to have a voice.
There will be no discussion of the upcoming voting for board, or negative comments regarding the board at this meeting. In fact board members are encouraged to attend as regular members. Some have already sent in their RSVP.
