HERE IS THE UNEDITED LETTER TO THE BLOG:
Here's a few suggestions for your blog.
1. It cant be 100% negative. Surely we have accomplished something that wasn't a complete failure in your eyes. The flowers at the entrance, the decorations for the various holidays and all of the other good work done by volunteers through Larry and the grounds committee. The tireless work Al DeMarchi did to collect the tremendous the amount of back assessments including the canal assessment. The financial health of the WPA has never been better. The two rounds of road work. The improvements to the landing. I could go on but you get the point. It hasn't been all bad. We are not perfect, but we are far from the things you call us every day.
2. Stop allowing "anonymous" posts. Make people own their words. Any legitimate publication demands people put their names on their opinions. It is easy to be a keyboard warrior.
3.Quit living in the past. You are so obviously bitter about your treatment when you were a board member. Anytime you get challenged you bring up things from 10,5,2, years ago. I get it, but its time to move forward. Sometimes you just have to let things go. Past is the past. Let's live in the present and look to the future. Wedgefield is an awesome community.
4. Quit trashing your/our neighborhood. Your writing style is so destructive. You think you are so clever and that by putting a ?????????? at the end of a salacious statement makes it OK? It is no wonder most people think you hate Wedgefield and are on a mission to destroy it.
I love Wedgefield and love living here. I enjoy helping out in whatever way I can. I cannot fathom why you so relentlessly denigrate the place where you live. I don't know what purpose this serves you. Not as a board member, but as your neighbor, I would ask you to tone down the rhetoric.

EDITOR'S COMMENTS:
Board member Anderson has asked that his name be used. He has written to the blog several times, and has a right to speak and have his name used, as requested. I thank him for his time and effort. Usually, we don't agree.
1) I'll briefly state how I feel about what he has written. His first point speaks to negativity - there must be something good like the roads, etc. First, this is not the society page. Second, before writing this response, I scanned the blog. I did a big article on the roads and complimented the whole process. I wrote an article when the tree dumping took place in the canals, and board members responded. I stood up at the following board meeting during resident comments, and thanked the board for their help. I've commented positively in articles when I felt a board member made a point, asked a question that put perspective on something. The blog is, and always has been about what takes place in our governance. I can only work with what is actually happening. Perhaps, when a fellow board member attacks residents from the board table, or each other, he and his fellow board members could counsel that board member about the inappropriateness. Perhaps, when motions are made, and discussion toward a vote ensues, and our governing documents aren't being followed, the discussion could be that. Bottom line is, this is about governance, and the board meetings - want positive words - take that into consideration when you are governing. Do you know how many people say they won't go to the meetings because the board conducts their business the way they do - very long term residents, and new ones. The numbers in attendance speak for themselves.
2) As far as anonymous posts, I said everything I have to say about that in the post immediately below this one. That has been the policy since the blog went up. In fact, one of my very first email to the blog posts, came from a current sitting board member, who relied on their name being removed, and their email disagreed with a stand I had taken. It should be noted, except for one email resident quite a few years back (she used her name when she wrote), I have not posted emails from friends - I post from people who I don't socialize with - don't talk over the back fence, etc. writers. I post what people have to say.
3) As for living in the past, there is no validity in that statement, as it applies to the blog. Most of this board has been in place for 7-9 years, and their actions, and use of our governing documents hasn't changed. References by this board are made to the past - rulings (??????) - "this board will not allow what that board did", etc., which in this litigious community, force reference to related documentation. A strong board, committed to lawfulness - according to the governing documents, encourages a look at their record, rather than abuses the people who review it.
4) As to my writing style, I can only report how the board relates to the community, and at times each other. When your board members call each other "moronic", ask resident's "what you going to do about it" - threatening behavior from the board table, that's of concern. Additionally, no one is put in prison and forced to read the blog. Do you know a reverberating term that runs through all the years here in Wedgefield "no one ever told me it would be like this." Additionally, the writers to the blog seem to have what you would call destructive writing styles. Review some of your own letters to the blog, and ask yourself how destructive yours can be.
Note, Mr. Anderson and I will probably disagree on most things. What we can agree on, is he has a right to say what he needs to say, and I will always print it unedited. Thank you for writing.
PS: Mr. Anderson how can you write the things you have to me, and then say "Quit trashing your/our neighbor." You just lost your supposed good intentioned couch counseling position, if you are referring to your/our fellow neighbor board member McMillin. You should be counseling him as a fellow board member, not to publicly hurt Wedgefield, breach boardmanship, with these kind of public displays. Not to be negative, but what did you do about it in public, while putting your putting your name on it. What have you done about "moronic", and yelling from the board table by Garrison - your/our neighbor, and board member?
