Dear Madeline, 

We are part time residents but Wedgefield is our primary residence.  

We cannot attend most of the meetings but are very aware of all the controversy, 

thankfully to your blog.   

We cannot understand how a HOA board can withhold minutes from the 

meetings. 

 I thought it was a part of Roberts Rule of Order.  How does the board justify no

 publication of minutes?  

As a member of this group, we would like to find out what is happening each 

month.  We have asked if the Wragg was published in July and received no 

answer.  I call certain neighbors to get some info, but we would like to see the 

minutes.  Can you give me some info on this and if it is legal to withhold the 

minutes?  Thanks for your time and energy.  We appreciate all your efforts.  

And be aware that we will vote for changes at the elections.

First, thank you for your kind letter, and taking notice of concern for what is going 

on here.  I have lived in Wedgefield for 13 years, and for most of those years, the 

minutes were on the WPA website, along with the financial reports for the month, 

and the recording of each meeting.    The biggest offense here, in my not so humble 

opinion, is that this board continues to make decisions away from the board table, 

and not mention their decisions at the board table, in public, included in minutes, 

with a vote.  About 15 months ago, your board removed the tapes of meetings, and 

about 2 months ago removed minutes, and financial reports.  I, having followed this 

this board, most in office for 6-9 years, think that they removed the tapes because  a 

taped record of their outrageous behavior at the board table against and without regard for

 our governing documents could put them in jeopardy if questioned.  I further believe that 

the minutes - sanitized of what really 

happened in a meeting, were removed because members like myself, questioned the 

board on them, and they don't want, or can't defend their actions.  Same with the financials.  When did your board discuss at the board table, and move to remove these items?  NEVER.

I'm so happy to hear that you will vote for those who will vote for changes at the election.  

My not so humble suggestion is that you vote for Butch Williams, Connie Downs, and Bill 

Steiner, and you vote NO for the by-law change brought to you by a cohort of your board.

I'm going to remove your name to protect the concerned innocent, and print your letter.
