THIS WAS CRUDE, SPOILED BY THE BOARD, MCMILLIN'S CHRISTMAS MESSAGE TO WEDGEFIELD A FEW YEARS AGO. HE PUT MY HOUSE NUMBER ON IT TO OFFEND ME, BUT ENDED UP FORETELLING HIS REAL THOUGHTS ABOUT GOVERNANCE IN WEDGEFIELD, AND ONCE AGAIN HE DEFECATED ON ALL OF US. GET RID OF HIS BOARD SEAT IN NOVEMBER!
Do you have information, or an opinion - agree, or not, you can email The Wedgefield Examiner at wedgefieldexaminerthe@yahoo.com. We'll remove your name to protect the innocent, and publish it. P.S. If you would like your name published, please note that on your email, otherwise we leave your name out.

PLEASE NOTE: Before we get to the resident's email a few things should be boldly noted. 1) I did not write the email, or have any conversation with the writer before, or after this submission. I can't help it if other residents are beginning to see the true governance situation here. 2) I provided the picture - not the resident emailer, and the message immediately under it. 3) I don't usually comment immediately when publishing a resident email, but today I am, because I was going to write an article myself about this topic, and there is more to expose. I THANK the writer for their efforts!
HERE IS THE UNEDITED RESIDENT EMAIL:
HERE IS THE UNEDITED RESIDENT EMAIL:
During Tuesday nights board meeting residents got to witness Larry McMillian on the verge of a temper tantrum should his parking lot modifications proposal be voted down by his fellow members. He proposed putting in a one-way turnaround and repainting the parking lanes at an angle. The total cost $2500.00. Mr. McMillian has been proposing modifications to the HOA office parking lot for years because his truck is big and backing out is a hardship for him. (Boo Hoo!) He also cites that vehicles driving at a fast pace past the office on Wragg's Ferry makes backing out dangerous. (Darn Scoundrels!) When Bob Garrison asked Larry who else besides himself complained about this (minor at best) inconvenience, his fellow board members came to his defense. The real answer, no one besides Larry is making this an issue. Larry wants what Larry wants and darn... darn... darn if he isn't going to get it. So then 5 other board members thought it would be a good idea to modify the parking lot because after all, Keith Johnson has a monster truck that's hard to back up in the lot and heck... what if all the board members show up at the office at once trying to park and then back out. (Pandemonium!!) So with no resident complaints to back up this proposal, Christmas came early for Larry.... he got the parking lot modification he's been whining about for years. Hmmmm... what if Larry doesn't get re-elected? Perhaps this project should be put on hold in the event he loses ....since, let's face it, it's going forward just for the driver challenged Larry himself. Priorities Larry..... Priorities!!!
Christmas will come again soon for Larry when the canal behind his house gets dredged. And fulfilling his list will get that much easier if his neighbor and friend Steve Vassy wins a board seat. By the way .... if Larry and Steve succeed at winning, this will put board members who live on the canal in the majority. (Some pecking order huh?)
So Wedgefield residents..... what did you get for your $525.00 this year? Road repair? Stop signs? Speed bumps? Drainage ditch maintenance assistance? Golf course mowing assistance? An "I'm happy to see you greeting with big smiles" when you go to the HOA office? I don't know about you, but for sure I'm going to get my bouncy house worth ($525) of fun at next years Easter Egg Hunt. (END OF RESIDENT EMAIL).
COMMENTS:
As I stated earlier, I was going to write a report about Larry's parking lot change approval, because it was so offensive on so many levels, certainly in good governance, but lacked any thought in serving in the best interests of Wedgefield residents, and he showed a total disregard for the aging, and handicapped residents! What is worse is that president Walton, Garrison, Anderson, Johnson, Cline, voted with him, and approved the unnecessary expense. Ebert was the lone board member who vote NO!
How did all this go down? McMillin announces that he has sought bids to reconfigure the parking lot. He has two bids. The first company from Conway bid $2,600 - $3,000. The second, Love Concrete bid $2,300, on the entire job, and can complete it in 2 days. It should be noted that earlier in the week, the grass around the parking lot was marked with paint lines - evidently certainty that this board would approve. He reports that he has enough in his budget on line item - 65-100. Additionally he notes that he'll need another $200 for his do-it-yourself painting of lines, and direction arrows. Cline seconds his motion for $2,500 for the reconfiguration of the parking lot. Garrison asks if he has the bids in writing, and McMillin pats some papers at his side. (Someone should write and ask to review the whole bid process.) Garrison continues in his snaky role by asking who besides McMillin , who has been pushing this for 5 years needs this? McMillin responds by telling him to ask Johnson who has a big truck. Yes, Johnson can see problems. Then McMillin says, "I think I should have done this when I designed it, but we were trying to save money, etc." McMillin asks President Walton since he has a truck whether it is a problem. His truck isn't as big as their trucks, but when the WVA (condo meeting) meets there on a few Saturday's, it can be a problem. At some point McMillin is passing his drawing of parking places, and mentions he is moving the handicapped parking space somewhere off to the side. Johnson mentions specs for public places requirements for the handicapped. McMillin says in upset, "I've only seen one handicapped person in what ten years????? He isn't happy, but conversation at the table causes him to say that he will leave it where it is if has to, but it is going to mess up his parking plan!
I have to stop here. You already know who voted to approve it. There were no resident complaints. Even Garrison acknowledges that this has always been McMillin's wish. Yet, even when McMillin pretty much forces Johnson, and our president, to state their own particular needs - NOT OURS, NOT EVEN THE HANDICAPPED! - GARRISON, THE PRESIDENT, ANDERSON, JOHNSON, CLINE, AND OF COURSE MCMILLIN himself vote for it! I've heard McMillin's half baked proposals of saving money too many times. I've followed the history for long enough to know that when he says he is saving us money, he has a plan to use the money he supposedly saved for another half baked project. Please get rid of this board member. You can do it quietly with a vote in November. As important, I'd ask a few questions about the approved budget at the annual meeting. A year or so ago, McMillin proposed building a maintenance shed for his self do dynasty, and when asked where the funds would come from, he had built it in his projected budget for the year, and the only thing that stopped your board from doing it, was that he'd have to build it to commercial requirements, and we aren't allowed to build commercial in here. Your board had approved that money saving budget!
