RESIDENT TITLES LETTER TO THE BLOG - "LET'S HELP OUT GARY ROBERTS"

It is time to stand up, and let other residents know that you are concerned.  Your comments, agree or not, are welcome, and will be published without your name.  Send your emails to:  wedgefieldexaminerthe@yahoo.com

HERE IS THE LETTER:

Gary has been working hard bringing potential buyers to Wedgefield and we wish him well in getting the course sold.    Let's help Gary out..   I'm thinking that potential buyers not only determine if this is a wise purchase by looking at the condition of the golf course, the pool, Manor house, etc, but also take into consideration the view Golfers will have from the course.  This is your backyard.    ALL golf communities mandate that residents adhere to covenants and regulations set forth by the HOA and they are not lax in enforcing these rules.  Therefore you see well maintained, thriving golf communities.    But since we have a board that looks the other way and doesn't care who does what, or who parks whatever wherever they want, WE need to take matters into our own hands by embracing pride in our properties and Wedgefield as a whole.   For the good of our community and to potentially help in the sale of the golf course, please take a good long hard look at your backyard, (and front and side), and determine if it's something you would be proud to have someone view while playing a round of golf, (and for many property owners there is pride).    Think about it, well kept homes and yards could be a positive factor in the sale of the golf course.   The aesthetics of the course doesn't stop at your property line.    We need to work together with Gary and potential course owners by holding up our end of the deal and adhering to Wedgefield's covenants and regulations.    It's not only good for the golf course and it's success, but your property value.

A thank you to Butch and his crew for taking charge and getting the mowing done.  Thank you to the wonderful residents supporting this effort.  And another thank you to the crew of neighbors who have been mowing endlessly since last fall to do their part as well.    Perhaps their actions will encourage others to step up and clean up and to think up and not down.  Thank you ALL.
