"Any legitimate publication demands people put their names on their opinions."

Do you have information, or an opinion - agree, or not, you can email The Wedgefield Examiner at wedgefieldexaminerthe@yahoo.com.  We'll remove your name to protect the innocent, and publish it.  P.S.  If you would like your name published, please note that on your email, otherwise we leave your name out.

"Any legitimate publication demands people put their names on their opinions." This quote was taken from a email to the blog by a board member.  Please read yesterday's article below.  Legitimacy is often questioned in a number of areas here in Wedgefield.  Today, I will not spend time going into the details, or we'll be here forever.  What standard outside of Wedgefield could I use to make the point briefly?  Here it is, and yes it does involve many of our Wedgefield residents and their acceptance of giving their opinions without having to reveal their names, and Internet publication.  Let's use something current, and sorry to go back too far  board member Anderson, but it legitimizes - not that I find it necessary, it is my blog, the protection of the writer's name to a "legitimate on line publication".

I assume that you will all recognize our very own Georgetown Times, as a legitimate on line publication.  You are able to review articles on line, register with their on line comment section (they know your name), take a "on line name with them", and comment on articles using only your on line name.  Many Wedgefield residents used this opportunity when those big articles were appearing in the Georgetown Times about the last dredging, a board member punching a resident after meeting at the WPA office etc.  People both for, and against, used their online name, and commented - at times, hundreds of them.

Not that I care either way, but is that legitimate enough for you?  Perhaps, you used it yourself back then - if not you, many of our Wedgefield residents did.  Did any of you write the Georgetown Times and talk about legitimacy?
