, a gentlemen knocked on our door around 4pm. By the time I got to the door, he was down the front steps and heading out. I told him we weren't interested and he left. I told REMOVED to call the Sheriff and he did. The dispatcher told REMOVED that they have received several calls and a deputy did go out to talk these individuals. They deputy called REMOVED back and said he had interviewed the two gentlemen and they are part of a legitimate cleaning business, had all the permits, etc. The deputy questioned them at length and has the opinion that they are just trying to sell products. The deputy also said that they had permits to solicit from the city and that the county does not require permits. He also warned them that there are places within the county where they may experience very hostile reaction to their presence!! All that being said -- caution is still recommended. About 5 minutes after the deputy phone call, the doorbell rang and it was another gentlemen, but this one had a picture id around his neck. I told him his partner was here about 30 minutes ago. He asked which way did he go because he needed to find him and leave. He knew there were several phone calls made to the sheriff's office...I reminded him that solicitation is not allowed here, says so on the sign as you come in. He wished us a Merry Christmas and left...caution is still recommended!

Just had someone knock on our door at 3:30 pm today (Monday). REMOVED said they had no car, so she called REMOVED and REMOVED and ran over to their house. REMOVED went around and confronted him & called law. Not sure what has happened after that.
