IT APPEARS THE WPA BOARD DOESN'T WANT YOU TO ATTEND TONIGHT'S BOARD MEETING, JUST LOOK AT THE AGENDA. THERE IS NO MENTION OF DREDGING, AT A TIME WHEN AT LEAST 6 OF OUR BOARD MEMBERS HAVE BEEN MEETING, AND MAKING POLICY AS TO HOW TO PROCEED. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO AND ASK ABOUT IT.

Tonight is the WPA August Board Meeting.  Will you attend?  Maybe not, the generic agenda posted below, certainly doesn't generate any enthusiasm as to making you feel like you'll get new, important information as to what your board has been working on for months.  I'm not surprised because this is pretty much what the agenda looks like month, after month.  If you attend the board meetings, and then read the associated minutes, they are sanitized, and really don't tell you what they've been up to, because it appears they don't want you to know.  What do I mean?

Go back and read the handout provided to members at the canal lot owners' meeting.  There were plenty of obvious decisions regarding money, policy, and what decisions your board members had made regarding those issues.  The notes refer to at least 4 board members (also members of the water amenities committee), meeting with our president, Jacky Walton, and our legal chair/compliance chair/vice president, Bob Garrison.  Yet, all that work, and none of those meetings, were ever listed on the agenda for discussion, NOT discussed obviously at the board table, therefore, they weren't placed in the minutes.

When asked during the canal lot owners' meeting, whether anyone would be reporting on the meeting at the August board meeting, I'm told Garrison said he would.  About time someone told us about these illegal meetings, where apparently 6 board members, decided a whole lot of things.  Dredging proposals are pretty important - lot of money involved, etc.  Don't you think if everything was above board that your board would have added, or amended this milk toast agenda, and let us know about this?  Dredging on the agenda use to fill the house, and spill out onto the grass!
