He should know that while there is a committee, every member in good standing
(assessments paid current) has a right to run. A few years ago when we had people
running who had a lawsuit against the board, and were suing many of the very members
who were sitting on the board, I questioned whether that should be allowed when it
would only cause intense fighting at the board table. I was informed that they had
checked with the attorney, and any resident in good standing had to be accepted.
You won't believe some of the board meetings that followed!
It is more important as each day goes by. Today, when I was at the Y, I was told that
a business contractor who hadn't been paid by the golf course owner, came, and
removed part of the pool equipment. The situation is beyond, weeds, and overgrowth,
it gets worse day by day.
