STORM CLEAN UP CONTRACTOR'S CONTRACT TOPS OUT AT $14,000. DE MARCHI SAYS IF IT ENDS UP COSTING MORE, THE CONTRACTOR "WILL EAT THE EXCESS" ARE WE GOING TO "EAT IT, WITH DELAYS" THERE'S NO PROGRESS MAP TODAY BECAUSE NO ONE IS HERE!

Today, Saturday, March 1st, I traveled on the roads of the association to see what progress was being made.  I went in and out of all the road areas, even those that were done previously, looking for the contractor, and all of his equipment.  I made the trip between 11:15am and 12:30 PM.  There wasn't a truck in sight!  There was one unmanned  piece of equipment parked in the circle on Possum Trot, (not sure it even belonged to this contractor) and there didn't seem to be any workers around.  I traveled to what must be the staging area, on the circle at the end of Joanna Gillard.  There was one large flat bed trailer there.  No equipment any where else.

Garrison reported during the meeting on Feb. 26th, that these guys were working dawn to dusk.  Are they taking Saturday off while we have this mess?  Is the rest of this work going to be done, when this contractor can squeeze Wedgefield in, while giving priority to more lucrative jobs? Granted, trucks could have been on the way to the dump.  It doesn't appear that that could be the case, with no apparent staff, or equipment, preparing for the next load.  DeMarchi went on and on about the capacity of this contractor's equipment. Where is it? Did the Treasurer put in a must complete by date, with a penalty clause?  Could it be that they worked dawn to dust to get the Dukedom/Enclave done, and then laid down on the job?  It is a little cloudy today, maybe they didn't think dawn was here yet.  This just looks like more of DeMarchi's "I'll take care of me, and you can wait".

Note:  We traveled out to shop at about 3:00pm.  The loader that had been parked on Possum Trot had moved to the lot that use to be the 16th hole.  There was one truck by the corner of Possum Trot and Wedgefield.  Three men were picking small debris up off the road and throwing them up on the truck, which appeared to have been loaded.  Not much looked like it had been changed. Once again, we traveled throughout the association and that appeared to be the only thing done today.  When did they start?  Where was all of that super equipment?

P.S.:  I took a rider along with me to verify exactly what was out there.
