When I was a child and two of us were in dispute, and tattle tailing, to my Grandmother, she'd often listen and say, "that's like the pot calling the kettle black." What she meant was how could I tell on the other one, when I had basically done the same thing. This was the phrase that came to mind today, as I reviewed the WPA Correspondence File. As always, I will not reveal the name of the resident writer to the board.
HERE'S THE LETTER:
"Wedgefield board members I am very upset to find out that when anyone goggles Wedgefield Plantation the Wedgefield Examiner comes up. This site does nothing but report false information and is not doing anything to improve our profile to outsiders. I feel mine and every one else's property values are being jeopardized by this misleading information. It is my feeling that this board is doing a good job of running the affairs of this plantation. I am asking you to take the necessary action to put a stop to this misleading and hurtful flow of information to our community. Thank you for your service and I trust you will do all in your power to resolve this situation."

Dear Wedgefield Concerned Citizen Writer to the Board,
First, as a 2008 Board Member, I watched, as you were one of the "front of the line" Concerned Citizens who assisted in taking the canal dredging to the newspaper. You, in fact were in the golf cart parade with sign carrying riders, providing a photo op to the press you had notified. You were the very person who tried to sneak a reporter into the board meeting, and had her sit by you. I had the security ask her to leave. You were one of the individuals who donated to the lawsuit brought againist the dredging, and when our side claimed you were effecting the price of homes, your attorney claimed that wasn't the case, and it was removed from the lawsuit. How can you claim now that this blog is harmful to your house value? Did you ask the board to do anything about the Concerned Citizen website that you were a member of? This blog provides a email address, up top, and up front, for you to refute whatever you want. You haven't! You can't, because we always back information up with documents, transcriptions of the meeting tapes, etc. What you personally did, leaves you in Grandma's category of the "pot calling the kettle black." Of course you would support this board, I remember your behavior at meetings. It necessitated the hiring of security. You supported a president who slugged a resident and admitted to trying to have the official board meeting taped erased because he said disparaging things about the very attorney the likes of your group forced on us, board members who harassed two female board members with unfounded threats of jail terms. You lack credibility, and the board you are so proud of lacks integrity and professionalism. You're well matched in your support of each other. You just exposed yourself as a hypocrite.
