RESIDENT LETTER:

I appreciate that we have a board member addressing this important issue in a forum other than waiting for the next board meeting. 

Of the three courses of action, I agree with Adam that doing nothing is the worst of the bunch.  I, personally, would also think option number 2 is the best option for our neighborhood.  I do not agree that our assessments would be increased so drastically should that be what is ultimately decided.  Particularly if we realize that the golf course has been tried repeatedly and failed repeatedly.  If we were to use the present-day golf course as a green space, the maintenance would be minimal.  The other amenities could be leased out and run by third parties.  Our property values would be protected and we would all have the benefit of parks and open areas. 

If a petition is going to be circulated, why not include this option as well?  It’s a good idea to survey all of the residents to see how everyone really feels about the County option vs. homeowner purchase.  If nothing else, it will be nice to be asked for an opinion.
